The University of Florence, a Med-EcoSuRe partner, participated on May 10th in the 48-hour challenge organized by the Sole project, funded under the ENI CBC MED program.
This challenge, organized by the Tunisian National School of Architecture and Urban Planning, aims to propose innovative and cost-effective solutions for the renovation of a public building in Tunisia within 48 hours. The building being challenged is the Bizerte Municipality building, a symbol of the city and a significant heritage site.
To provide students with a reliable source of information and documents, Med-EcoSuRe has made available a toolkit developed by the University of Florence.
The Toolkit is a guide for innovating in the renovation process of public buildings in the Mediterranean region. It contains information, procedures, tools, and advice for creating energy-efficient, eco-sustainable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing buildings of the future.
Considering renovation as an innovation process, the toolkit is based on a Living Lab approach, opening renovation to the entire academic community, both local and international.
