On January 17, 2023, the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Center (MEDREC), a partner in the SEACAP4SDG project, the Municipality of Bizerte, and the Atmosphere Agency, an external Tunisian entity, met to sign a collaboration agreement.
This agreement, concluded as part of the implementation of the SEACAP4SDG project activities, aims to define the terms of collaboration between the Tunisian partner of the project, the Tunisian municipality selected through an expression of interest, and the external entity responsible for implementing a support program for the selected municipality.
This support mechanism proposed by SEACAP4SDG will be implemented at two main levels:
– At the first level, a customized energy efficiency plan will be developed to prioritize and implement the solutions introduced by the project’s capitalization toolbox. The results will be validated through the presentation of an energy efficiency plan.
– The second level will focus on developing a roadmap for implementing the most cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies in pilot buildings, leveraging available tools.
