The Energy Research Center of An-Najah National University, a partner in the Med-EcoSuRe project, is implementing a photovoltaic power plant in the buildings of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Education and Teacher Training at An-Najah University (figure below). The photovoltaic power plant has a capacity of 160 kWp.
The photovoltaic plant will reduce the cost of electricity for the two selected faculties of the University and the use of diesel fuel during long hours of power outages, thus providing a better and more comfortable environment for the academic and administrative staff of the university.
This action aims to promote and implement innovative technologies, as well as the transfer of know-how in the field of solar energy, particularly PV systems, in Palestine.
