To strengthen its involvement in academia, the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Center (MEDREC) signed a framework agreement on December 8, 2021, with the National Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (INSAT), represented by its Director, Mr. Samir Hamza.
The two institutions agreed to combine their efforts and resources in the areas of capacity building, research, and innovation transfer related to sustainable development. The parties also decided to pool their resources and assets to develop bilateral project proposals that could be submitted for funding to national and international funding authorities.
Furthermore, MEDREC is committed to consolidating INSAT’s efforts to build the capacity of its faculty members in the field of sustainable development in general and renewable energy more specifically. The Center will also provide INSAT with the necessary technical, administrative, and financial management expertise to implement cooperation initiatives.
