On May 18, 2022, the Naples Energy and Environment Agency (ANEA), Italian partner of the Med-EcoSuRe project, participated in the 2nd CLEAN project seminar “Regional measures and highlights to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency of public buildings” organized by Joe North Kasuulia Council of Fireland. The CLEAN project is funded by the INTERREG EUROPE program with the aim of increasing the energy efficiency of housing and public infrastructure by 4% through technology, open innovation and improved low-carbon policy instruments.
After an exchange on the state of the art of the project implementation in the partner countries involved in the participating projects, and on the transfer of knowledge on measures aimed at energy efficiency and measures that can be translated into policy instruments, ANEA shared the achievements and actions implemented by the Med-EcoSuRe project, focusnova developing redevelopment tools for planning in particular within the project:
– A database of relevant existing passive renovation solutions for Mediterranean buildings, including the most innovative interventions related to the renovation of higher education buildings in the Mediterranean region.
– A decision-making tool to identify and implement the best options for building renovation and improved operational control to achieve significant energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort.
Participation in the seminar is part of a broader synergy between the two projects, initiated in early 2021, with the aim of identifying innovative and reproducible tools to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings.
