On November 16, 2021, the Med-EcoSuRe team launched a training session to support project partners and stakeholders in identifying and implementing the best building renovation options and improving operational control to achieve significant energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort.
The training is designed and will be delivered using an interactive decision-making tool developed by the Thermoteque Group of the Department of Thermal Energy Engineering at the University of Seville, to select the optimal renovation measures and plan the renovation of university buildings.
The training program consists of two phases:
Phase I. Training of Trainers: This first phase will be led by the University of Seville and is dedicated to project partners, who will receive essential knowledge about the tool to provide an optimal learning environment for stakeholders during the second phase of the training.
The first training of trainers session was held with the participation of all partners, where an introduction to the tool was shared and the schedule for subsequent sessions was defined.
The training of trainers will run from November 23, 2021, to January 2022.
Phase II. Stakeholder Training: This second phase will be led by partners, who will provide several training sessions primarily targeting energy management staff within the university.
During the training, several pilot buildings will be selected in Tunisia, Palestine, Spain, and Italy to serve as case studies.
The schedule for the second phase of training will be defined once the first phase is completed.
