The objective of this study is to understand the dynamics of the decision-making process regarding energy efficiency and renovation of university buildings.
As part of the Living Lab established within the Med-EcoSuRe project, the research group of the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence has developed a toolbox for the design of passive solutions for the renovation of higher education buildings. A beta version of this toolbox has been finalized. It includes an interactive and integrated process/roadmap aimed at improving the knowledge framework, the analysis of energy efficiency criticalities, and the planning and design of renovation measures. This innovative interactive and participatory tool will be used for training and teaching.
To calibrate this tool, taking into account local energy efficiency processes, a survey is being conducted among university energy and building managers and decision-makers. The objective of this survey is to understand the dynamics of the decision-making process regarding energy efficiency, renovation, and sustainability of university buildings.
The survey is organized into sections examining the three main phases of the decision-making process related to energy renovation measures:
– Knowledge Framework;
– Criticality Analysis;
– Planning and Design.
The survey is available in English, french, espagnol et italiian.
