Prospective Study of the Nabhena System to 2050

This report relates to the prospective study of the Nabhena system by 2050 entrusted by MEDREC to the TPAD study office. It is an action plan of the most likely scenario of the evolution of water supplies by 2050, the objective of which is to clarify the vision of the agricultural sector over the next 30 years, in the governorates located downstream of the Nebhana dam, namely: Kairouan, Mahdia, Monastir and Sousse, where agricultural activity, mainly dependent on water from the dam, is becoming increasingly risky.

The study was conducted in three phases:

  1. Simulation of water inflows into the dam reservoir.
  2. Selection and validation of the most likely scenario for water inflows.
  3. Modeling, Scenarios, and Action Plan.
