Med-EcoSuRe launches an online knowledge transfer platform on energy renovation of buildings in the Mediterranean

The online platform created is an “agora” that fosters rapprochement and dialogue between all stakeholders involved in the energy efficiency of university buildings and facilitates cooperation and co-creation within the Living Lab community. It ensures the collection of information between partners, the transfer of knowledge and best practices, as well as cooperation and co-creation between Living Lab stakeholders to produce research.

The collaborative digital platform enables:

– Fostering exchanges between all registered stakeholders and facilitating the emergence of new projects (industrial, research, etc.);
– Creating cross-border work teams around specific projects;
– Integrating complementary services, such as personalized support for companies to promote technological integration, etc.

The online platform includes:

– A presentation of the Cross Border Living Lab, created within Med-EcoSuRe, its objectives, structure, and members;
– The toolkits developed for the design, planning, and monitoring of energy renovation measures:
– A toolbox for designing passive solutions for the renovation of higher education buildings
– A decision-making tool for evaluating optimal renovation measures
– Simplified calculation tools for assessing energy consumption
– Actual monitoring of the demonstration actions implemented
– A FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) to provide a common space for project stakeholders to interact and exchange knowledge and best practices

Furthermore, as Med-EcoSuRe was selected for capitalization under the SEACAP4SDG project, the online platform has also been extended to present the results of the proposed support mechanism to reduce the energy consumption of public buildings and to increase the capacity of territories and key stakeholders to adopt measures to reduce their energy impact in the medium term.
