Med-EcoSuRe and TRANSDAIRY are implementing approaches to stimulate innovation and co-creation in the Mediterranean

TRANSDAIRY, an ENI CBC MED strategic project, held its first Tunisian focus group meeting on March 23, 2021. The objective of this meeting was to identify the needs of the dairy value chain, the focus of the project, and to share best practices from past and ongoing initiatives regarding the creation of Living Labs and spin-offs. In this context, Med-EcoSuRe was invited to share its experience in creating and managing its Living Lab, as well as the creation of a cross-border platform for collaboration and co-creation within the Living Lab community.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS), the directors of the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), the Medjez El Bab Higher School of Engineering (ESIM), the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR), as well as socio-economic operators.

The presentation by Ines Khalifa, coordinator of Med-EcoSuRe, included a general presentation of the Med-EcoSuRe project, an introduction to the Living Lab approach, the steps adopted for the creation and management of the Living Lab levels, and an overview of the ICT platform developed for the transfer of knowledge and good practices on the rehabilitation of university housing stock in the Mediterranean.

These approaches, successfully demonstrated within the framework of Med-EcoSuRe, will be taken into account during the implementation of the TRANDAIRY project, thus improving technology transfer in the field of key enabling technologies (KGTs) applied to the dairy value chain.

This is the first of many initiatives to create synergies with the TRANSDAIRY project.
