This report is a worldwide solar thermal inventory. Installed capacity by the end of 2005 was 111 GWth. Corresponding to 159 Millions m² of which 86.3 GWth of flat-plate and evacuated tube collectors, 23.9 GWth of unglazed plastic collectors and 0.8 GWth of air collectors.
End 2005, China is the leading country with regards to total installed capacity (52.5 GWth). From a point of view of market penetration, Cyprus is the leading country with an installed capacity of 657 kWth/1000 inhabitants
