Estimation of the Potential of Solar Thermal Applications in Industrial Sector in Tunisia This study aims to assess the thermal energy needs of industry and evaluate practices which can potentially lead to a spread solar thermal application. It was cooperated by ANME, POLIMI, UNEP, and MEDREC and included the following activities:

 

  • Define the overall methodology to be employed to determine the potential of low and medium temperature solar thermal application in the industrial sector in Tunisia.
  • Define the potential of low temperature solar thermal application in the industrial sector
  • Define the potential of medium temperature solar thermal application in the industrial sector
  • Analyze the status of technologies and the related time to market for medium temperature solar thermal applications (process heat temperature above 90°C and up to 250°C).
