ABCD Project : ALBEDO, Building Green, Control of Global Warming, Desertification

ABCD project was carried out by ANME and CIRIAF (Centro Interuniversitario di Ricerca sull'Inquinamento da Agenti Fisici) in the purpose of figuring out a cost-effective solution to reduce global warming and compensate the effect produced by the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere are SRM (Solar Radiation Management) techniques as well as artificially modification of earth’s surface reflectance increasing solar energy amount reflected towards space and reducing the amount of energy which contributes to the Earth’s warming.

Assistance for the implementation of a program to promote solar water pumping for irrigation

Assistance for the implementation of a program to promote solar water pumping for irrigation

In the framework of the project n#8 of TSP, and the promotion of the production of electrical energy by solar photovoltaic and solar thermal “Distributed Generation”, the objective of this study, carried out by ANME, MEDREC, and IMELS, is to overcome the constraints which present barriers to the development of solar pumping in Tunisia through the proposal of setting up an integrated program to the promotion of this technology to farmers

Estimation of the Potential of Solar Thermal Applications in Industrial Sector in Tunisia

Estimation of the Potential of Solar Thermal Applications in Industrial Sector in Tunisia

This study aims to assess the thermal energy needs of industry and evaluate practices which can potentially lead to a spread solar thermal application.

Regulatory and incentive framework for the promotion of solar thermal in Industrial Sector in Tunisia

This study is carried out by POLIMI, ANME, UNEP, and MEDREC, in the framework of “PROSOL Industrial”, project TSP n#3, aims to review the incentives and regulatory instruments to promote the use of solar thermal in industrial sector in Tunisia, especially in the industry, describe the issues related to the pricing of energy products, especially those related to the industry, and aims as well to propose an incentive mechanism allowing the offset of the market for this kind of technology.

Study on assessing the potential of bio-energy in Tunisia

Bio-energy is a solution to cope with oil prices explosion and allow developing countries to ensure their energy independence. In order to achieve this, a study was conducted by the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (INAT) in favour of the MEDREC under the ANME in order to evaluate the various existing bio-energy resources in Tunisia and their potential for bio-energy production.

The development prospects of Jatropha sector in Tunisia

The development prospects of Jatropha sector in Tunisia

MEDREC has developed in 2008 a preliminary study on the development prospects of the chain of Jatropha in Tunisia.

The Mediterranean

Renewable Energy Centre
