Reinforcing the CDER Training Centre

The project was set up for the implementation of studies on the analysis of local and regional needs in terms of capacity building, technical assistance, quality, standardization, and testing equipment and certification , in the countries of MEDREC (Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia).

The support to the Research Center in the field of Renewable Energies in Algeria CDER covered:

  • An inventory of fixtures of programs and renewable energy projects (ongoing and planned): Identification of needs and opportunities in terms of RE use in the current and future programs of development and energy supply, taking into account the technical, socio-economic, and environmental constraints, as well as strategic guidelines of the sector.
  • Identification of means to implement support for these programs: type of training and targeted participants, quality of equipment, technical standards to implement or supplement, and establishment of certifications.
  • The identification of new applications and RE technologies: Identification of new technologies and their applications taking into account the national and social energy context, action plan of development, proposal of pilot projects of training and demonstration.
