Options and best practices for renewable energy technologies for productive uses in the Mediterranean region

During this training, from the 3rd to the 8th of October 2012 in Tunis, and within the framework of the promotion of sustainable development, it has been demonstrated the impact of renewable energies uses, for developing countries, in the improvement of the social and economical situations.

In order to ensure this capacity building, the presentations pointed out the different and appropriate technologies to the affordable access and transfers of RE and the best practices and uses aiming to sustainable development, economic growth, and environmental protection; the share of experiences through case studies and the forum discussions on the particular challenges and appropriate strategies targeted for exposing the trainees to up-to-date technologies and trends and provide them with all the necessary information.

The different sessions covered the following main topics: the promotion of access to renewable energies, the potential of access to RE in developing countries, technology trends and potential of renewable energies for productive uses, effects of those technologies and trends on the sustainable development and economic growth, and presentation of some case studies.
