Within the context of the study on the "Elaboration of a roadmap for the development of an institutional, regulatory and legal framework of Tunisia, necessary for the implementation of Article 9 of the Directive 2009 / 28/CE of the European Parliament and the Council of April 23rd, 2009 relating to the promotion of the use of energy generated from renewable sources" set out in the agreement signed on February 28 by the Italian Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea and the Tunisian Ministry of Industry and implemented by the experts of Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE), the MEDREC organizes a Meeting on December 5th 2012 at its headquarters to present the preliminary results to the Steering Committee, composed of members from the ANME (National Agency for Energy Conservation), ELMED and STEG.

Renewable Energy Centre

The MEDREC, based in Tunis, was launched by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Territory. It involves international and governmental Institutions of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia. The center is the focal point of the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Program.
