In the context of transfer of renewable energies within the Mediterranean countries, this event will point out the recognition of the energy strategies involving Europe and the main countries participating in cooperation mechanisms, accompanied by a discussion on the useful regulatory aspects to the development of an intergovernmental agreement in the framework of art. 9, as well as technical aspects needed to ensure the qualification and traceability of energy covered by the agreement signed in the 28th of February 2012.

The event will carry the following main sessions:

  • Tools for the Integration of Local and Transnational Renewable Energy Markets
  • The national and international energy strategies for the integration of energy markets
  • The Industrial Integration as a Driver to Meet Local Socio-economic Needs

The Mediterranean

Renewable Energy Centre

The MEDREC, based in Tunis, was launched by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Territory. It involves international and governmental Institutions of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia. The center is the focal point of the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Program.
